Why "offline" matters to us
Translation, OCR and speech recognition run through Google ML Kit's on-device models — your text, photos and voice are processed on your phone, not uploaded to a server we run, because we don't run one. There's no account to create and nothing to sign in to.
Free today, and why we're asking for support
OfflineTranslator is free, with no ads and no paywall. Today it's built on top of Google's ML Kit for translation, OCR and speech. We're working toward something more ambitious: our own fully offline translation model, trained and shipped by us, so the app depends on nobody else's cloud at all.
That's a lot of work for a small team. If you'd like to help fund it, a Ko-fi donation goes directly toward that. When our own offline model ships, the free app stays as it is today, and the new model will power an optional paid tier — never a bait-and-switch on what you already have.
